Ron Finfrock, Co-Founder and President
Ron is a founding member of Bridgeport Technology Inc. and has been with the company since its start in 2013.
Starting as a field technician in 2008, Ron quickly worked his way up to senior technician at his previous employer. Today, Ron oversees Bridgeport Technology’s daily operations, as well as working in sales, and assisting with remote and onsite support.
Customers rely on Ron for every aspect of IT. He installs systems, troubleshoots, deals with security issues, and makes system recommendations to help his customers’ businesses run more smoothly.
Ron enjoys the day to day interaction with his clients, some of whom he has known for over a decade. He is a very hands-on leader and continues to enjoy the troubleshooting aspect of IT.
“I take on customer technology issues as a personal challenge to resolve. When the customer has been told in the past it can’t be done, I like to make it happen.”
Ron is a graduate of Frazier High School and is a graduate Westmoreland County Community College with a degree in Computer Information Systems, and Digital Forensics. Ron’s certifications include Microsoft MCP, Windows Sever and Windows Exchange Server.
Ron has been married to his wife Kathy for 17 years. They have 1 son, Justin who is now 15.
“I love to spend time outdoors. Both Kathy and I are very active in the Boy Scouts as Justin strives for his Eagle Scout ranking. I truly enjoy camping, hunting, and fishing.”
Katherine Finfrock, Co-Founder, Vice President
Kathy started out working in retail with 15 + years management experience.
Before dedicating her effort full-time to Bridgeport Technology, Kathy worked as an Instructional Technology Analyst training teachers and administration on the incorporation of technology into school curriculum. Previous to that, she worked as a Technical Writer/Document Control Specialist and earned her Greenbelt in Six Sigma by attending classes, testing, and implementing a process improvement that saved time and money.
She has always enjoyed helping people and realizes that there is no “one size fits all” model for learning. This joint venture has allowed her to step outside her comfort zone as a business owner as well as continuing to help people find success using technology.
Her educational background includes a B.S. in Education from California University of Pennsylvania, a M. Ed. in Technologies Enhanced Learning and Instructional Design from Seton Hill University, and several credits from the Westmoreland County Community College Computer Technology Program.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, staying active in wrestling boosters, watching her son wrestle, and also perform in the high school marching band. She also likes camping, hunting, fishing, exercising, reading, and listening to music.
Wayne W. Koontz, Network Technician
Wayne has been a network technician at Bridgeport Technology Inc. since January of 2019.
From residential clients to business clients, Wayne strives to achieve customer satisfaction. “Learning everything you can about technology is the reward from solving complex issues for a customer and that is a really great feeling.”
Remote support on your workstation, running cables in your home or office, and installing security cameras are some of the jobs you can rely on him for.
Wayne graduated from Connellsville Area Senior High School in 2016. In the fall of 2018, he graduated from Laurel Business Institute with a specialized Associate’s degree in Network Administration and Security. During his time at school he interned with Connellsville school district.
“My passion is gaming and technology. In my free time I often spend too much time binge-watching shows. I have various friends with different interests and hobbies so I can get along with pretty much anyone.”
Jane L. Snyder, Office Assistant
Jane has a background in nursing. She obtained her LPN in Bradford, PA and later earned her RN through Westmoreland County Community College School of Nursing.
After 36 years as a surgical nurse at Westmoreland Hospital in the operating room, she retired and began donating some of her spare time to helping her daughter and son-in-law set up their business. This experience has afforded her the opportunity to increase her knowledge outside the realm of nursing and meet many incredible people in the process.
“Now I enjoy golfing, spending time with my grandson, bowling, going to plays, reading, and traveling.”
